Customer Review: CHROME Toilet Tank MAGAZINE RACK Tissue Paper HOLDER

I love this items because it has multiple functions. Also like the clean contemporary look. Looks just like the picture and measurements are correct. Toilet paper rolls off easily from holder. It is well constructed and rust proof and does not take up very much space.

Customer Review: Technically Heart's Second Album

This is a fine followup to Dreamboat Annie. Even though their second album was "Little Queen," these songs were recorded in between the two, except for the live songs, which were sort of pre-fame, I think.

"Devil's Delight" alone is worth the price of the CD, but the whole album was fantastic, from start to finish. This shows Heart while they are still an idealistic young band, before they became such a worldwide phenomenon.

They were really hard rockers back then, with a huge Zeppelin Jones going on. That they could always throw in a beautiful, sweet acoustic moment such as "Here Song" is a testament to the true musical talent these ladies and their bandmates showed, and continue to show to this day.

Customer Review: batcall

Like they say, Heart is the female version of Led Zepplin. You can't love rock n roll without loving Heart. It's a shame there was no male version of Led Zep. in the US.

Artifact

ArtifactThey say this CD was recorded between 2001 and 2004 "at home and on tour, in bedrooms, hotels, moving vehicles, parking garages...." But despite its name, this isn't an album of sketches, lost tracks, and other detritus. Instead, Artifact is a haunting document of ambient designs, trippy lounge, and cinematic atmospheres that occupy STS9's first new CD in five years. The "home" recordings are actually verité vignettes providing connecting tissue for songs like "Better Day," a haunting lament with breathy guest vocals from Audio Angel (Rashida Clendening), and the space-age lounge music of "Somesing." A band that plays as much as it programs, STS9's compositions have a natural flow and integrity, as if they were grown as much as computed. "Tokyo" is a hypnotic jam of slide guitar and electronic atmospheres lashed together on a kinetic groove sliced by dream sequence logic. Imagine the Grateful Dead going glitch on Miles Davis's Bitches Brew and you have a good sense of STS9's sound and why they've played events from the alternative festival Coachella to jam-band gatherings like Bonaroo. Artifact doesn't look back, but forward to a horizon still a few moments in the future. --John Diliberto

Customer Review: Something for everybody, but maybe not the whole album...

In Brief: More approachable than other STS9. Yet, this album is not for most people. For the rest, highly recommended.

I purchased Artifact after hearing the song "Tokyo" on Pandora. I was stunned when I heard this song. I am familiar with STS9 from their album "Live at Home." After hearing that album, I was of the opinion that STS9 were experts at creating strings of unique sounds and calling them songs. "Tokyo" is an exhilarating song. It is full of deep, grimy bass that (amazingly) seems to speak to you at points. "Tokyo" proves that STS9 knows how to write a melody. Unfortunately, they don't always choose to do so.

I'm an advocate of always listening to an album from beginning to end in its entirety, but unless you are an experienced IDM/Glitch/Ambient Electronica advocate, I would recommend that you listen to the following songs and call it a day:

(1) Tokyo

(2) Peoples

(3) Peoples pt.II

And for the more adventurous: (4) Somesing

Make sure you turn up the bass.

For the rest of you, I recommend this album. The less melodic tracks (few in number) seem to wander, but it is part of the album's journey. And the album truly is a journey. The first track even boasts that the album is a musical story.

The songs are often journeys, too. Many of the songs have two clear halves. And the second half is usually better, so don't give up on a song if the first minute bores you.

This album is a gem. The album loses a star because there are a few songs that I regularly skip.

Customer Review: Stunning

Regardless of their stature as a live act, this is a wonderful recording. Strong, interesting songs, beautifully played and produced, make this album an easy 5 stars.

The Partridge Family Sound Magazine

The Partridge Family Sound MagazineCustomer Review: Wonderful Music in any era

I was born many years after this album was released, but this music sounds good in ANY era. "The Partridge Family" had an excellent lead singer with David Cassidy, and excellent backing singers with Shirley Jones and the 6-member "Love Generation". Providing the singers with instrumentation support are the best studio musicians of the time, many of which also worked on albums by artists like "The Monkees" and "The Mamas and Papas". The arrangements are tasteful, often featuring drums, piano, bass, guitar, horns and sometimes even strings. The melodies are catchy, and the lyrics are unusually good for a manafactered pop group. David Cassidy even co-wrote a song called "Love Is All That I Ever Needed", which is itself a fine song. Other highlights on this disc include the bouncy "Summer Days" (Composed by Tony Romeo, who also wrote "I Think I Love You" for another Partridge Family album), the exciting "I Woke Up In Love this Morning" and fan favourite "Echo Valley 2-6809", which is simply ''bubblegum'' at it's finest.

Customer Review: Sound Magazine

I love music from the 70's and grew up watching the Partridge Family. I just love this kind of music.

Customer Review: Excellent addition to the bathroom

We are very please with this product. It is the perfect size and style to compliment our newly renovated bathroom.

Customer Review: small

Based on the other comments, I was a little surprised how small this magazine rack is. I definitely wouldn't describe it as roomy. Larger-format magazines won't fit inside easily. And I like to keep a book in my bathroom, as well as magazines, and that uses up almost all of the space.

What fun! Now my mixer can be upgraded to look like Alton Brown's! I'd tried the decals designed for cars and it just didn't work. Thanks for these decals just for my KitchenAid mixer. I bought a set for me and for a friend who is also an Alton Brown fan.

Customer Review: Didn't like it

I ordered this to keep my husbands magazines and catalogs seperate from my own - we currently just have two stacks that are on the kitchen counter. It looks nice in the photo Amazon has, but when I received it I didn't like it. There were pieces of the hand woven grass sticking out various places and definetly didn't look as nice as the photo. I returned it. It would probably work for the floor or somewhere where you are not going to see it, but it wasn't nice enough for my kitchen...

Customer Review: Great little magazine basket

I ordered this in hopes that my husband would use it to organize the magazines he had piled up in the living room. It worked! It's a very nice basket, and I'm very pleased!
